Professional Work-Study Program 2020-2021 Registration Packet
As we draw closer to the end of the school year, the Cristo Rey Columbus High School Professional Work-Study Program (PWSP) will be requesting feedback from students about their work experience, including their workplace preferences for next year. Although the PWSP cannot honor every request from students, we look forward to using student feedback in the course of our decision-making process as we place over 400 Cristo Rey students in our partner organizations for the 2020-2021 school year. With our Business Partners joining us for our eighth year as a program, we are excited to share that Cristo Rey students now have great opportunities to hone their professional skills while earning a significant portion of the cost of their Catholic, college-preparatory high school education.

In order to begin this placement process and plan for next year, we need some updated information from you. Please complete the following enclosed forms and return them to Cristo Rey Columbus High School on or before Wednesday, July 1:
1. Minor Wage Agreement
2. End-of-Year Agreement
3. Physician’s Certificate (Note: Students must receive a physical before the start of the next school year in order to be eligible to work for the 2020-2021 school year. Additional details can be found here.)
4. Emergency Contact Form

Completed paperwork can be returned in one of three ways:
1. In-person drop-off: Please use drop-slot in the main office door if not open.
2. Mail to: Cristo Rey Columbus High School
Attn: Sarah Solarte
400 E. Town Street
Columbus, OH 43215
3. Scan and email to mainoffice@crchsworks.org

If you have any questions, please contact the Work-Study office at (614) 223-9261. Thank you for your attention to this important registration paperwork.

Graduation for the Class of 2024 will be Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Mershon Auditorium on The Ohio State University campus.

Further details will be distributed to seniors and families.

Mental health and wellness practices are taught and encouraged throughout the school community. Our counseling and social services support offered to all students is coordinated through our School Counselors, Mr. Karl Rose and  Ms. Jacy Dutiel and School Psychologist, Dr. Emily Bumpus. Students are encouraged to schedule individual meetings with their counselor and/or take advantage of the various group opportunities that occur throughout the school year. Students and families needing more intensive services will be referred to outside service providers with whom our counselors collaborate to accommodate and reinforce those services at school.

Outside of school hours, students and families are encouraged to use the following hotlines:

  • Suicide and Crisis Lifeline: Call or Text 988 (Available 24 hours in English and Spanish language; Learn more at https://www.samhsa.gov/find-help/988)
  • Crisis Text Line: Text “HOME” to 741741
  • National Suicide Prevention Hotline: 1-800-273-TALK (8255)
