Cristo Rey Columbus High School is part of the national Cristo Rey Network. Cristo Rey Columbus High School (“CRC”) is a Catholic, college-preparatory high school with a Professional Work-Study Program empowering students of all faiths, in need of an affordable, high-quality education, to excel in college, in career, and in character. It is co-educational and serves students of diverse backgrounds. We help our students grow intellectually, academically, spiritually, socially, and morally. Our Professional Work-Study Program (PWSP) is an integral part of our strategy. Through PWSP, our students work five days a month in a professional setting such as law firms, hospitals, banks, insurance companies, nonprofits, and government entities. Through this work, they cover almost half the cost of their education, and they obtain tremendous experience and education being mentored by professionals in our community. It is our aspiration that all of our students graduate from high school and college and become future leaders in the public and private sector, in corporations, service organizations, their own faith institutions, and the community at large.

    WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    We are seeking a part time Enrollment Coordinator who is passionate about the Cristo Rey mission. The Enrollment Coordinator’s primary responsibility will be to oversee the EdChoice Scholarship process from distributing/collecting applications and all required supporting documentation through check disbursements. This entails initial communications and follow up with our students and families, management of all EdChoice paperwork and files, and data entry/uploading of all required EdChoice documents through the Ohio Department of Education’s secure portal.

    When not focused on EdChoice, the Enrollment Coordinator will be proactive in building external relationships designed to recruit students who are within the Cristo Rey student profile. This will include representing the school to various educational, community, governmental and religious organizations. During peak admissions seasons the Enrollment Coordinator will also assist the Admissions Department with day to day operations, including but not limited to coordinating special events like Information Sessions, Open House, 8th Grade Visit Days, and Entrance Exams.

    BASIC REQUIREMENTS

    • Associate’s Degree or higher.
    • Fluency in Spanish required.
    • Compliance with BCI and FBI background checks and completion of Protecting God's Children program.
    • Valid driver’s license required; must be insurable with good driving record.
    • Commitment to the mission of the school and the Cristo Rey Mission Effectiveness Standards.

      REQUIRED SKILLS AND TRAITS

      • Most weeks the position will be 25-30 hours per week. During peak seasons it could be more.

        POSITION SUMMARY

        The Facilities Director supervises and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance, operation, and cleanliness of the school building, grounds, and facilities systems. The person in this position will bring a business sensibility to the operation of the school, approaching the school’s building maintenance strategically, and making the daily operation of the school as cost- and time-efficient as possible while maintaining a high degree of student, parent, and staff satisfaction. This role supports the school’s mission by setting the “tone” of the school as a welcoming environment with high standards and commitment to the school community’s success.

        This position works in tandem with the Operations Director, who serves as project manager for large-scale and ongoing repairs, renovations, and building projects. As a team, the Facilities Director and Operations Director maintain a detailed log of these projects and meet regularly with the President and Chief Operating Officer to discuss and provide updates. The Facilities Director reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

        POSITION DUTIES

        • Conduct and/or oversee installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, security, and waste management.
        • Track work orders and ensure work follows established service and quality standards for completion.
        • Schedule and supervise contractor work, preventive maintenance, painting, cleaning, and other skilled labor projects.
        • Contribute to the development of processes and procedures to maintain and improve building functionality.
        • Attend to emergencies outside normal school hours.

          REQUIRED SKILLS AND TRAITS

          • Minimum 5 years of experience in a related area as an individual contributor.
          • Valid driver’s license.
          • Thorough knowledge of general maintenance.
          • Ability to work with a variety of contractors and suppliers, maintaining good relationships on behalf of the school.
          • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve issues in a timely manner.
          • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and efficiently complete all activities.
          • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to interact/communicate with all types of members of the community including teachers, administrators, board members, parents, and students.
          • Self-starter, ability to set and meet goals, and a desire to excel.
          • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
          • Maintain the ability to satisfy all physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling up to 50 pounds; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling; reaching above shoulder level; fine finger dexterity.
          • Ability to withstand a variety of indoor and outdoor environmental conditions.

          Position Description

          Background
          Cristo Rey Columbus High School (CRCHS) is a Catholic, co-ed, college-prep school that is part of the national Cristo Rey Network. The Cristo Rey Network educates 12,000 students in 38 high schools across the country. Our mission is to empower students of all faiths, in need of an affordable, high-quality education, to excel in college, in career and in character. Our ultimate goal is that our students will graduate from college and become leaders in the public and private sector, service organizations, their own faith institutions, and the community at large, transforming the world for the good of society. Since the families of our students do not pay the full tuition required of a private, college-prep, Catholic high school, the students work in an innovative Professional Work Study Program (PWSP) and assign their earnings to the school in lieu of tuition. CRCHS students work one day a week during the school year from 8:30-4:00 pm in entry-level jobs at over 120 organizations in the Columbus metropolitan area to cover the majority of their cost of education.

          Position Offered
          CRCHS seeks an energetic professional who is passionate about the Cristo Rey mission to serve as a Relationship Manager building strong relationships and interacting regularly with students, faculty and supervisors at business partners regarding the students’ work responsibilities. This is a year round, full time salaried position. The Relationship Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations of PWSP.

          Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certification

          • Bachelor’s degree
          • Valid driver’s license

            Preferred Qualifications
            The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated experience in some or all of these areas:

            • Experience in managing client relationships, human resources, or similar business functions, background working with students of high school age
            • Experience with data analysis for the use of strategic organizational growth

              Required Skills

              • Strong working knowledge or willingness to learn the Google Business Suite and Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook
              • Excellent communication and organizational skills
              • Capacity to work with various stakeholders
              • Ability to multitask, problem solve, be proactive and work collaboratively in a fast paced team setting
              • Sensitivity to the ethnic, racial, and religious backgrounds of the CRCHS community

              Functional Duties
              Business Partner Relationship Management (45%)
              PWSP staff service our business partners by proactively providing them with information about the students, responding to inquiries and resolving problem situations.

              The relationship manager will serve as a primary contact for assigned business partners:

              • Communicate regularly with supervisors through e-mail, telephone and site visits to understand workplace environment and student worker responsibilities
              • Collaborate with supervisors to identify, address, and support areas of growth for student workers to help student excel in the workplace
              • Follow up on timesheet and performance evaluation comments with supervisors, students and parents/guardians
              • Work with Director of PWSP to develop and lead supervisor orientations, supervisor engagement, student development and overall program initiatives
              • Build student teams and assign job placements based on student interest and partner needs

              Student Development (45%)
              CRCHS asks supervisors to evaluate the student workers two times each school year, and daily via timesheets. These evaluations comprise the majority of the students’ grade in PWSP for their PWSP class. Relationship Managers build strong relationships with students and act as job coaches.

              • Utilize and assist in designing curriculum and lessons to teach during morning check-in
              • Assist in the implementation of retraining and remediation programs for student workers based on supervisor feedback; timesheets, site visits and performance evaluations
              • Mentor student workers in need of additional workplace support to address students’ areas of growth in meeting program expectations
              • Work collaboratively with PWSP team members, Deans, and Counseling department as needed to support students in the workplace

                Morning Assembly and Transportation (10%)
                Three primary activities occur at the morning assembly for 100+ students heading out to work each day:

                1. Attendance
                2. Dress-code/wellness check-in
                3. Transportation

                The relationship manager will:

                • Lead 2-4 Morning Check-in session(s), beginning at 7:30 am, weekly throughout the school year
                • Communicate with the PWSP team and supervisors regarding check-in information
                • Develop strategies to resolve any student situations that would prevent a student worker from excelling in the workplace
